Drivers – You must be 25 or over to drive as one of our interstate drivers but for local pick up and deliveries you can be as young as 23 which is a great place to start to work your way towards in to interstate driving roles
Workshop – Our mechanics, auto electricians, panel beaters, spray painters, apprentices
Warehouse – Our forklift operators, yard hands, storemen and leading hands
Depot Office staff – Our administrators, pallets and operations
Head office functions – Our senior managers, accounting teams, payroll, Safety people and culture, Business analysts, customer service and head office pallet controllers.

Safety is paramount to how we work at Lindsay’s as such we are serious about ensuring all employees are fit for work every day. All drivers are required to provide us with a current traffic print out at interview and will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical as well as a drug and alcohol test before starting with us. Lindsay’s has a zero tolerance drug and alcohol policy for all group employees.

The first step in the recruitment process for drivers, warehouse and workshop is sending through your application form. Your application form will provide us with the information we need to understand your skills, experience and education to ensure the right role for you.  A copy of the application forms are available below:

Cover letters
A cover letter is a great way for you to really sell your skills for the role you are applying for. When writing a cover letter for jobs at Lindsay’s please ensure they outline your relevant skills in line with the advertised role, and really sell your personality and why you would be a perfect fit to join the Lindsay Team.

Resumes
If you are applying for one of our many management or office roles you will need to send us a copy of your up to date resume. We will be looking for certain skills, knowledge, education, strengths and previous work experience that match the role you are applying for. The following is what we are looking for in your resumes:

Contact details: Name, address, phone numbers and email address
Career history: timeline of employment, dates worked there, duties and skills involved in the role.
Education: details on your education, training, certificates and the dates they were completed
References: We require at least two reference from previous employers

Phone screening
On occasion a pre-interview phone screen may be required. A phone screen won’t take long and is mainly used to determine availability, rate of pay, current situation and how relevant your skills are for the role.

Interview
All our roles will require a face to face interview. These interviews will discuss your experience and the job on offer, we will also be asking you some behavioural questions during the interviews to ensure you have the right values and personality to fit in with our company values.

Background checks
With safety being so important at Lindsay’s we conduct several background checks on our employees before they start with us. These checks can vary depending on nature of work. These checks are reference checks, Pre-employments medicals, drug and alcohol testing, criminal history checks and credit history checks. These checks are all organised and paid for by the company on successful completion of the interview stage of the process.

Medicals
All drivers, warehouse and workshop staff MUST pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing. The company has strict policies in place requiring medicals and testing.

Unsuccessful candidate
Lindsay often receives a large volume of applications for their job openings. Due to the number of applications, unsuccessful candidates will be notified via email of their outcome. Candidates who are unsuccessful during the final stage of the recruitment process will be contacted by the interviewing manager or a member of the Safety, People and Culture department.
